What are some names of good cuban cigars?
My husband has told me that he LOVES cuban cigars, and I want to get him some for Christmas. Any names that tend to be the best sellers or are generally good? I would ask him but it would give it away that I am getting them for him ![]()
Depending on where you live you may have a problem finding them. There are so many counterfeit cigars out there you could get ripped off.
Play it safe. Find out what kind of smoke he likes mild, strong etc. Go to a good smoke shop and ask for suggestions

What are cuban cigars supposed to taste like?
I want to know if i have a good source for buying tobacco, what do cuban cigars taste like? Compare them to cigarettes or other cheaper cigars.
Thanks to Uncle Fidel and his communist regime, most of the good cigar makers have left Cuba to set up shop in Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Costa Rica. A few others.
That being said, the very wide ranging tastes and flavors of cigars grown in different soils will depend on your personal preference. You'll simply have to experiment with different filler/binder/wrapper combinations.
Try this: http://www.cigaradvisor.com/. That should get you started. Cigar smoking is not a habit, but a hobby. It will take research and trail & error to find your niche in the cigar world. Good luck, and happy smoking!

Cuban Cigars……?
Why are Cuban Cigars illegal in the USA?Do they use a certain type of tobacco?
Bc, american Republicans put up an embargo.
That forced Ex- President Kennedy to make Cuba a bad problem, during 1958 era.
The type of tobacco is not the problem, it's embargo set up by the republicans.
However, americans may smuggle seeds into u.s. but, you may need to have "Spanish Connection."
Mann I love & smoke the best dm cigars of Latin America.
I want to bring back a couple of boxes of cuban cigars from Bonaire?
I am going to Bonaire in November from Bosont Mass to Scuba Dive. I like Cuban cigars and want to bring back a couple of boxes would I have problem with customs. I have a carry on. I was in Jamacia last year a brought back a box of Romeo Juleta in my carrey on and after passing through the metal dector and id machine there was nothing wrong. I was in Newark.
My sister smuggled them back. She did tuck them between her clothes, but I don't think anyone is going to find them unless the TSA goes through your luggage. Just hope you don't get randomly searched. I always wondered what would happen if you FedEx them to yourself.
Can Cuban cigars be delivered to the US from other countries?
Is it possible to order genuine Cuban cigars from another country, to be delivered to the US?
I live in the US, and I know nothing about spotting fakes. I just wanted to be able to give someone a nice retirement present.
If there is any way for someone in the US to get Cuban cigars delivered, please let me know. Thanks for your help!
Legally, you don't have the right to do it.
However, there are some online shops that will ship Cuban cigars to the United States. Some of them are very reliable, others are not. You can message me if you want some more info.
Does the US Government really have the right to stop Americans from buying or smoking Cuban cigars?
I just read an article saying that Governor Schwarzenegger was up in Ottawa to meet up with the Prime Minister there and stopped off at a hotel and bought a cuban cigar to smoke. Now apparently, the U.S. embargo got more strict in 2004, when it also became illegal for American citizens to purchase or smoke the cigars abroad. My question is does the US Government really have the right to tell us that the American citizen isn't allowed to buy or smoke a cigar because they, the government, doesn't like the political agendas of a communist Cuba? This just seems ridiculous to me. Any thoughts from anyone?
We should start a War on Cuban Cigars to rid this peril from our day.
Until the law is challenged in court, it's the law. I don't think the government has the right to do restrict legal activities done in foreign countries. If you were trying to bring some home, however, they'd have every right to stop you.
